Powering Sustainability with Smart Energy
Lowering energy consumption reduces both operational costs and environmental impact.
Our naturally ventilated greenhouses, free from artificial lighting and high-energy cooling systems, will utilise energy-efficient nutrient delivery systems and pumps to minimise energy use.
To further enhance sustainability, we have already erected an 11kW solar plant primarily used for the office and boreholes, which was operational from May 1, 2024. This plant has generated 2,327kW, reduced CO2 emissions by 2,320kg, saved 931kg of coal, and decreased deforestation equivalent to saving 128 trees in just four and a half months of use.
Looking ahead, we plan to explore additional renewable energy sources, such as installing solar plants for each greenhouse. This will further reduce our carbon footprint and ensure our farming practices remain as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible.
